Harrow Cyclists rides

Byways and Superhighways of Central London 25 Jun 2017

Come and explore central London on a bike! You will be amazed at the places you can reach. Our journey will explore useful back roads, plus some of the new quality superhighways that London Cycling Campaign has fought for.

We will meet at the Harrow entrance to Harrow & Wealdstone Station (near the Civic Centre) at 9.45am. We shall catch the fast train into Euston (please bring your Oyster or contactless card).

Please bring water and a bike lock. You can bring a packed lunch or buy something en route.

Return time will be around 4-5pm. It may be easier to return via Baker Street or Marylebone.

Harrow bike ride 28 May 2017

Lovely day for our second regular Harrow Cyclists’ ride beginning at The Bike Shop in North Harrow. We did a loop round Ruislip, Eastcote and Harrow through parks, quiet roads and paths to reach the new cafe at Headstone Manor for a well-deserved coffee/smoothie and delicious cakes. Also managed to interest some of the customers outside the Bike Shop in joining us next time! Thanks to Penny for back-marking and guiding us through the junctions, as well as Anoop, Divya, Pinar, Tony, Nicola, Tapash, Jo, Amanda, David and Vicky for coming.

Harrow bike ride 23 Apr 2017

We had our first regular Harrow Cyclists’ ride on Sunday led by Penny – great turnout! Thanks to Catherine, Pinar, Nutan, Anoop, Divya, Tony, Tim, Veronica, Claire, Sue and Marie for coming. Here we are ready to set off from The Bike Shop in North Harrow. Look out for our rides. The next is a 14-mile one on Sunday 28th May, so do sign up on the Letsride website:

Harrow Cyclists easy ride

More Autumn Breeze rides for women near Harrow

Friday October 17th: Easy Ebury
An easy flat ride, traffic free along a disused railway line between Bushey station and Rickmansworth. You can join us from a station in Harrow, or come direct to Bushey station from the Watford area. Coffee in Rickmansworth and return along the same route.
Wednesday November 5th: Ruislip Ramble
A gentle 9 miles around Ruislip and Pinner, following the general route of the River Pinn and taking in some hidden corners. Coffee in Ruislip Manor.
Friday November 14th: Osterley via the ‘Racecourse’
A longer ride but not too challenging – almost flat, plenty of off-road stretches, and the National Trust cakes at Osterley House to look forward to. Much of the return is along the canal – peaceful and beautiful. Back to Rayners Lane before school pickup time.
Wednesday November 19th: The Belmont Rattler
Riding round the quiet roads of Harrow Weald, Belmont and Wealdstone, this ride takes in Harrow’s only two (fairly short) off-road tracks, including our last working farm. You need a hybrid or mountain bike.
If there are rides you would like to do with Breeze, areas you would like to cover or times when you would like a ride to be organised, please contact Veronica and whe will try to lay something on. It helps if you can bring along at least 2 friends.
